Adapt and Evolve with the Software Delivery Community: Take Our Survey

Enterprise Agile Planning

As part of CollabNet’s continued effort to remain actively involved in and foster the software delivery community, we recently took part in the Agile Open Northern California 2016 conference. The theme of the conference, which was held Oct. 6-7 at UC Berkley, was “Inclusive Agile—Adapt and Evolve.”

Agile Open California attendees are Agile practitioners and advocates who gather annually to provide a platform for learning, networking and growth to the Agile community in California. The conference is organized by leaders and volunteers from the local Agile community who are passionate about building community and advancing all things Agile.

During the two-day show, CollabNet team members met with a variety of practitioners ranging from those just starting out on their Agile journey to veterans. We discussed with attendees the changing attitudes toward Agile development, proving that Agile is still prevalent in the software delivery industry and that many, like ourselves, are strong believers in its ROI.

What truly made Agile Open a great experience was to hear the questions and feedback on our research and development initiatives. This feedback resonated with our team and will help us continue to improve our products and address the needs of software delivery practitioners.

One of our initiatives at the show was to gain more insight into ever-changing engineering environments and preferences. To do this, we developed two surveys in order to better understand the collaboration needs of product development teams and the trends in enterprise development practices. This effort is a continuation of our long-standing tradition as an open-source advocate with expertise in training (like Agile certification classes) and as an advocate for hybrid-engineering best practices in large organizations.

We were able to gather some valuable insights from survey responders at the show but are still looking for more feedback. If you would like to participate in our survey, choose one of the options below that best fits your current role:

  • If you are actively involved with a team on a project or product or are a contributor to one, please consider taking the two-minute survey on training practices that best encourage skills improvements, advance personal engineering careers and improve team collaborations:
  • If you manage, review or work with development teams, engineers or the processes they leverage to create products, services, apps or features to define needed functionality or next-generation offerings, please consider taking our three-minute survey on enterprise development practices:

Community, teamwork and collaboration continue to be important tenets in the software delivery industry. We appreciate you taking the time to collaborate with us to help us improve our own practices and products. Plus, make sure to join us Nov. 1-3 at this year’s CloudExpo Silicon Valley, where we will be exhibiting new innovations and sharing executive insights into DevOps in the enterprise. We hope to connect with you there!
