Sprint Planning Time Savers 101

Sometimes Sprint Planning Meetings can be long and tedious. Especially if your teams are estimating things at the same time. In using VersionOne, you can take advantage of the Templates to help streamline this process. For example, if your teams consistently used similar tasks when decomposing stories, you can create a template for Dev Stories that could look something like this:

So, now that we’ve build a template, we can continue to re-use these tasks during planning and not have to repeatedly key in the information: to do this, simply select Plan Story from the action drop-down, and then select Copy Tasks and Tests instead of Create Tasks  or Create Tests.
