Subversion Meetup at ApacheCon NA 2010

Enterprise Agile Planning

If you follow the open-source conference circuit at all, you are already well aware of the fact that ApacheCon North America 2010 is happening next week in Atlanta, GA. And if you are reading this blog post, there’s a pretty good statistical probability that you’re interested in the Subversion version control system. So if you’re going to be in or around Atlanta, GA, on the evening of November 4, 2010, CollabNet and I would like to invite you to join me and other Subversion developers at a Subversion Meetup.

Apache Meetups are informal, project-focused gatherings that happen in the evenings after the normal slate of scheduled ApacheCon talks and presentations. Unlike the conference itself, Meetups are open to the public, free of charge. Subversion is the version control system used by every Apache Software Foundation project, so it’s pretty central to the day-to-day development activities of the ASF. CollabNet is sponsoring this Subversion Meetup for the express purpose of giving Subversion users — Apache developers or otherwise — the chance to talk about how Subversion is or isn’t meeting their needs, and to direct that conversation at Subversion’s own developers. Here are the details:

Of course, ApacheCon offers much, much more than merely a free Subversion Meetup. The conference features five full days of valuable content: two days of training and workshops, then three days of presentations. This year’s conference Business Track features a panel discussion entitled The Business of Open Source — Power, Prestige, and Propulsion in which CollabNet’s CTO Jack Repenning will participate.

Come out to these events and learn how open source software such as Subversion can take your business and projects to new levels.
