Sneak Peek: What Benefits Are IT Leaders Seeking with Mobility Investments?
Apperian conducted the The Mobile Enterprise Application Survey to find out how executives are leading their mobility programs, what benefits they are expecting, what metrics they have available to them, and what strategies they are using to drive adoption. 100% of IT leaders reported that they plan to distribute mobile applications to help increase employee productivity within the next two years.
Sneak Peek - Key Finding
Supporting Business Processes is the Prime Directive
- The main benefit sought by 67% of respondents is improved business processes, followed by increased employee satisfaction (60%) and competitive advantage (55%).
- The mobile sweet spot is comprised of apps that provide a better experience for a differentiating business process that may be used inside or outside the company.
- Surprisingly, the desire to save money and drive new revenue was less frequently cited as benefits (39% and 20% respectively). Companies are seeking to mobilize their core business processes to speed up business cycles and thereby drive revenue. After companies gain experience with mobility, more may use mobility to drive new revenue and service delivery opportunities.
