Meet the Digital.ai leadership team
Ashok has more than 25 years of experience driving growth and innovation at leading technology companies. Prior to his current role, Ashok led Broadcom’s multibillion-dollar Enterprise Software Division, where he helped create a platform for global enterprises to scale their digital transformations and become real-time digital businesses. Ashok joined Broadcom in 2018 as part of the company’s acquisition of CA Technologies, where he led the DevOps business line. Prior to that, he ran the Mainframe and Automation Business units. Recognized as an early champion of DevOps with deep experience in agile transformation, Ashok has held leadership positions at several Fortune 500 companies including IBM, Rational Software, Honeywell, and Novartis.
As Chief Financial Officer, Stephen focuses on operational efficiency and corporate strategy to drive revenue growth. Over the past 30 years he has served as CFO for several software companies, successfully guiding one company through an IPO (GNSM). Most recently, Stephen served as EVP and CFO at Black Duck Software which was acquired by Synopsys for $565M after growing revenues by 3X over a 3-year period.
As CRO, Rob leads the company’s worldwide field strategy and execution activities. Previously, Rob enjoyed a successful career at IBM where he held leading positions running sales, marketing, software development, and business development organizations in North America, Europe, and APAC. He brings a proven track record of successfully transforming field organizations, and helping companies modify their software development and management operations to allow them to do more, with less, better! Over his 20 years in sales, he progressed to lead IBM’s DevOps (Rational) sales organizations in the Americas, and latterly Worldwide. He also helped build IBM’s Security business and its associated revenues.
As COO, Mark oversees Platform Strategy, Product Management, and Marketing at Digital.ai. Mark joined the company following its acquisition of Arxan, where he served as COO and was instrumental in transforming the company into a leading enterprise provider of application protection solutions. Mark joined Arxan following its acquisition of Apperian, where he served as President & General Manager. Prior to Apperian, Mark was VP of Marketing at TIBCO Software following its acquisition of Spotfire, where he led the Analytics Division. Mark also held marketing and product leadership positions at Progress Software and he began his career in Accenture’s Technology and Strategy Practices.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Deborah brings over 15 years of enterprise, SMB, and consumer marketing experience to Digital.ai. Deborah joined the company following its acquisition of Arxan, where she also served as CMO. Prior to joining Arxan, she led Global Product Marketing for Neustar’s Security and Risk divisions and Symantec’s Norton Consumer and Small Business Unit, where she was responsible for developing innovative strategies to break into new categories and markets, including launching the consumer mobile security business for Norton and web application firewall business for Neustar. Deborah also led marketing for Callaway Golf Company’s Women and Junior Golf division, and started her marketing career at Johnson and Johnson’s Personal Products Company, representing iconic brands such as Band-Aid Brand and Listerine.
As Chief Research & Development Officer, Mike is responsible for strategy around connecting and delivering value from IT / Development back to the business. This means creating the shortest sustainable lead time for products delivered with the best possible quality and value back to the business. Mike brings over 25 years of development, product management, customer support, and executive management experience for companies ranging from small start-ups to billion-dollar industry leaders such as Teradata, IBM, and more.
As Chief Customer Experience Officer, T.j. combines over 25 years of hands-on engineering experience with a passion for excellence and continuous improvement to ensure successful outcomes for our global customers. Previously, T.j. held senior leadership, technology, and sales engineering roles at leading companies, including Commerce Insurance and Lifeline Systems.
As General Manager of Quality, Tal brings over 17 years of experience in various marketing and management roles at leading companies. Tal joined Digital.ai following its acquisition of Experitest, a leading provider of mobile and web application testing solutions, where she served as CEO. Prior to Experitest, Tal led the marketing department at Comverse’s Services Division and worked several years as a Strategy Manager at Accenture.
As Chief Technology Officer & GM of the AI & VSM platform, Gaurav brings over 25 years of experience driving technology innovation at leading data and business analytics companies. Gaurav joined Digital.ai following its acquisition of Numerify, a leading provider of AI-driven IT Business Analytics applications, where he served as co-founder & CEO. Previously, he was Vice President of Product Management and Strategy at Oracle of a $2.5 billion Business Analytics business that included the Hyperion, Oracle BI, and Siebel Analytics product lines. Gaurav started his career as the first product manager at MicroStrategy where he rose to become VP/GM with responsibility for MicroStrategy’s Product Management, Professional Services, & Analytical Applications divisions.
As General Manager of Agile and DevOps, Derek brings nearly 20 years of experience leading large enterprise and startup technology companies with a consistent focus on the digital transformation. Derek joined Digital.ai after serving as President & COO of K4Connect, a venture backed IoT software company focused on bringing digital solutions to empower older adults and individuals living with disabilities. Prior to K4Connect, Derek was a member of the founding executive team at Startup America Partnership, a public-private partnership with the White House focused on accelerating entrepreneurship and regional startup ecosystems. He began his career at IBM Rational where he served in various technical and business leadership roles across development, strategy, services, and sales with a core focus on helping Global 5000 companies drive business value and agility through agile digital transformation.
Stephen Elop is a seasoned leader with more than 20 years of experience in enterprise software. He currently serves as CEO of APiJET. Prior to this, he was Group Executive of Technology, Innovation, and Strategy at Telstra. He also served as Executive Vice President of Microsoft’s Devices Group, joining from Nokia where he served as the President and CEO. Throughout his career Stephen has also held executive roles at Juniper Networks, Adobe Systems, and Macromedia.
Art Heidrich focuses on technology investments across TPG’s private equity platforms (TPG Capital, TPG Growth, and The Rise Fund). He has been or is currently involved with TPG’s investments in Advent Software, C3 IoT, Eze Software, IMS Health, RefleXion Medical, Sonatype, Vertafore, and WellSky. Prior to joining TPG, he worked in the Technology group at Morgan Stanley, where he advised on and executed M&A and corporate finance transactions.
Nehal Raj is a Partner at TPG based in San Francisco. He co-leads the firm’s investment activities in software and enterprise technology across its private equity platforms (TPG Capital, TPG Tech Adjacencies, TPG Growth, and The Rise Fund). Prior to joining TPG in 2006, Nehal was an investor at Francisco Partners. Previously, he worked in the Mergers, Acquisitions, and Restructurings Department of Morgan Stanley. He received an AB in Economics and MS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University (Phi Beta Kappa) and an MBA from Harvard Business School (Baker Scholar). Nehal currently serves on the board of the following TPG investments: C3.ai, Digital.ai, Kaseya, Noodle.ai, Sutherland Global Services, WellSky, and Wind River Systems. He is also closely involved with the firm’s investments in Checkmarx and Sonatype. Nehal was previously a director of a number of TPG investments prior to their successful exits, including: CCC Information Services (acquired by Advent International), IQVIA (NYSE: IQV), Intergraph (acquired by Hexagon AB), and Zscaler (NASDAQ: ZS). Nehal serves on the Board of Trustees of San Francisco Day School and the Advisory Board of Breakthrough San Francisco.

Ashok holds an MBA from Santa Clara University, an M.S. and B.S. in Chemical Engineering, and is a Registered Professional Engineer in California. Ashok earned a master’s degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Ashok holds patents in IT governance and automation and pending patents for Blockchain technologies. In addition, he is also the Founding Commissioner of the UN Blockchain Commission.
Angela Tucci has more than 20 years of experience leading and managing business operations, integrations, and strategic growth initiatives at enterprise technology companies. Most recently, she served as CEO of Apto. Prior to Apto, she served as General Manager of the Agile Management Unit of CA Technologies, and before that, as Chief Revenue Officer of Rally Software and Chief Strategy Officer of Symantec. Presently, Angela is Chairperson for the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology, Director of Progress Software (NASDAQ: PRGS) and Chief Operating Officer for Uplight, Inc.
