Being a Tester in an Agile World

Enterprise Agile Planning

Agile testers, your role has never been more important than it is right now!

That’s the point illustrated by SD Times’ Christina Mulligan in an article she wrote this week after attending our AgilePalooza event in New York City. She explains the key takeaways of the event in her article, “Being a Tester in an Agile World,” including why the tester’s job is frightening, the impact of change, and the important shift toward good collaboration between testers and development.

She interviewed two of the AgilePalooza presenters – Mike McLaughlin, VersionOne coach, and Bob Payne of Lithespeed, who agree that testers are a huge part of putting software quality first.

“To survive in agile, a professional tester must embrace change, collaborate, explore, empathize, have drive, have the right attitude, and see the big picture,” McLaughlin said.
