DevOps Transformation Story: Paychex
We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Matt Cipollone, Enterprise Build Automation Manager at Paychex, to discuss the highlights of their DevOps transformation story and how the XebiaLabs DevOps Platform helped them succeed.
As a large provider of payroll, human resources, and benefits outsourcing services, Paychex has seen continued growth and is now approaching $3 billion in revenue. Matt and his team kicked off their enterprise DevOps strategy with the goal of creating a high-volume, high-demand software delivery model. The focus: improving both their software delivery velocity and output quality of their releases.
Challenged by disparate processes and traditional waterfall methodologies, the Paychex team needed a solution that would provide consistency across different environments and approaches.
Matt detailed how XebiaLabs helped Paychex through their DevOps transformation. “Since we brought in XebiaLabs in, we have achieved consistent deployment and release processes and have really gained good visibility into the bottlenecks and into the processes,” explained Matt.
By adopting the XebiaLabs DevOps Platform, Paychex has:
- Increased the number of total software deployments by 656%
- Decreased the number of release rollbacks by 36%
- Reduced deployment time 50 percent
