EMC World 2015 - Dawn of the Devops

XebiaLabs' own TJ Randall recently spoke at EMC World 2015 in a presentation entitled "Dawn of the Devops".  The allusion to Dawn of the Dead is not unintentional.  In his talk TJ addressed how as a champion of DevOps and moving towards savings and efficiencies you can often feel as if there are dark-forces in your organization keeping you from achieving your goals.  Similarly, much like any classic zombie movie, there are knee-jerk reactions, fears and habits that lead down dangerous, even disasterous roads. In his talk he addresses the fears, reactions, and forces that one faces when trying to implement organizational change so that you are better armed for DevOps success.  Topics Like:

  1. Identifying "zombies" in your IT organization
  2. Smokescreens/confusion in the Devops space
  3. Pains-points across the entire organization
  4. Cost-saving potential
  5. A baby step process for moving forward
