XebiaLabs Brings the DevOps Party to Boston TechJam 2018
Summer is here and most of us are looking for an excuse to get out of the office and get outside. Unfortunately, getting some sun midweek usually involves burning a vacation day or creating an elaborate “story” to tell the boss.
If you were in the Boston area last week, however, you were in luck. Over 8,000 people spent time outside guilt-free for Boston TechJam 2018, the annual celebration of Boston’s technology ecosystem.
The XebiaLabs team jumped at the chance to be there, meeting the professionals and students that make up Boston’s thriving tech community, and of course, taking full advantage of the local beer offerings and food trucks at the event.Given the giant concentration of established tech companies, startups, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and top-tier schools in the region, Boston is an ideal location for an event centered on technology innovation. The XebiaLabs team was thrilled to get in on the action, geeking it up with the developers, execs, marketers, and everyone else in attendance who was interested in DevOps. The team passed out nearly 300 tote bags filled with XebiaLabs swag and chatted up event attendees about the latest trends in enterprise software delivery.TechJam is a block party-style event that took over Boston’s City Hall Plaza, a space in the heart of the city that has long been used for public events. This year’s TechJam featured a packed entertainment lineup that included everything from an interactive art exhibit to an escape room, as well as live music curated by Spotify, the official music sponsor of the event. In addition to some DevOps chatter, anyone who visited the XebiaLabs tent was treated to specialty coffee from Espresso Dave of Boston.
