Learn Where CollabNet and VersionOne are Heading Together at these Upcoming Fall Events

Enterprise Agile Planning

Isn’t Fall the greatest? Halloween decorations are showing up in neighbors’ yards, pumpkin spice lattes are back, football fans are in their element, and here at CollabNet we’ve just wrapped up a very busy summer and are getting cozy with our new team members at VersionOne.

In case you were living under a rock (or lucky enough to be on a long beach holiday), at the beginning of August, CollabNet and VersionOne announced that they are joining forces and merging to become one company.

That’s right, the leader in Agile, VersionOne, and CollabNet, long-time creator of collaborative development and delivery solutions, have combined strengths. (If you’d like to learn more about the merger, check out the FAQ on our website.) We’ve had our heads down for the last couple months to ensure we are still providing best-of-breed solutions on all fronts, while working on a shared vision for the future.

November will be a big month for us for several reasons:

  1. We will be sharing our plans for our new combined company, which will be called CollabNet, with the strengths of VersionOne integrated into CollabNet’s offering.

We can’t give away too much now, but here’s a hint: CollabNet will continue to support enterprises’ efforts to create quality software at speed, now at every step along the software delivery lifecycle. The overall effort is to unify Agile and DevOps and help our customers deliver futuristic software solutions that power their businesses.

  1. We plan to make this big announcement (see #1) at this year’s DevOps Enterprise Summit in San Francisco November 13-15. Are you planning to attend?

This conference is one of our favorites of the year as it focuses specifically on DevOps and how organizations transform software delivery by breaking down silos between development and operations teams. CollabNet and VersionOne will be exhibiting together for the first time and offering hands-on demos of our combined solutions. This is a great opportunity to stop by our booth and learn what’s new and what to expect now that CollabNet offers the deep Agile experience and market-leadership VersionOne brings to the table. Please stop by our booth to say hello.

  1. CollabNet’s Thomas Hooker will be presenting, Agile to DevOps: A Better Way?,” in San Francisco at QCon on November 15. QCon is hosted by our friends at InfoQ and covers the gamut of software development topics — including architecture, DevOps, performance, AI and more. This is a great opportunity to learn more about new innovations in our industry and connect with fellow practitioners and enthusiasts.

Thomas’ session “Agile to DevOps: A Better Way,” takes place at 10:35 a.m. on Wednesday, November 15 in Pacific BC. Also, as silver sponsors of the event, CollabNet will be exhibiting at Booth #11. If you are attending, please stop by.

  1. At the end of November we are heading to the south where VersionOne’s Logan Daigle will be speaking about Unifying Agile and DevOps at Southern Fried Agile. Southern Fried Agile takes place November 30 in Charlotte, N.C., at the Charlotte Convention Center. This one-day event is for analysts, developers, executives, Scrum masters, coaches, and teams looking to learn more from the Agile community and see how other organizations are using Agile principles to develop better software.

Don’t miss Logan Daigle’s session, “Unifying Agile & DevOps: Busting Barriers, Shattering Silos & Accelerating Value,” and find out how to integrate your Agile and DevOps practices to effectively deliver business value to customers. This session is schedule for 3:15 p.m.

Can’t wait to reveal what’s in store for the software development industry in the upcoming season! Stay tuned for this announcement in November and hope to see you in San Francisco at the DevOps Enterprise Summit, QCon or Southern Fried Agile!
